The largest economic sector in the Languedoc-Roussillon district is wine cultivation. 2500wine producers certified by IGP and 400 transportation companies conduct their business.This region also supplies 5 percent of world wine and produces 1 in every three bottles ofFrench wine. It produces more wine than the countries Chile, Australia and South Africa.
